how you can be a hero's hero

One Veteran's Story

As our Organization remembers and recognizes the Veterans resting in the Historical Tamina Sweet Rest Cemetery, we would be remiss if we did not also pay tribute to a Veteran still with us today, PFC Romie Hollins. So we ask that you join us in saluting a man who has led a life of service. If he wasn't protecting our country and preserving the freedoms of all Americans, he was playing an integral role in our communities here in Tamina and across town in Acres Homes by ministering the Gospel 50 years with his dear wife, Eva Hollins.

Many soldiers who go to war don't have the good fortune to return to the land they love and the people who love them back. Even fewer are blessed enough to live 91 years. That's why we ask you to join us in this tribute as we salute a Living Legend from here in the Tamina Community.

After such a long career of faith-driven community service here at home and service to our nation in the military, PFC Romie Hollins and Veterans everywhere are not only deserving of better living conditions. They are entitled to them. And those of us who sometimes take our freedoms for granted that he served to protect should be more than happy to help us give that to him in these sweet golden years.

That's why we ask you to help us as we partner with Rashmi Gupta and Richard Stromatt to purchase a new home for the Hollins family. This noble and needed effort cannot be accomplished without the help of our community. Our admiration and gratitude only can go so far in word alone, but there is more that each of us can do to help, and it is the very least that we can do for someone who served and protected our country and helped us maintain our faith.
